About ME

The lens through which I see the world has to do with how I identify; I am an artist, a woman, a carer and guide. I’m a wife and ma and friend and colleague. I am an advocate and wound-tender and empowerer.

The theme threading through my work and where I believe we need to slow down and become more aware is in and around the Body

Our culture has been mind-centric for a long time, it’s only recently that books like The Body Keeps the Score and Waking The Tiger and The Body Is Not An Apology have brought us back to where we started thousands of years ago before all of the modern technologies took us over.

Soma is the Greek word for Body

When we work together, we work Somatically and we return again and again to what’s happening in the Body, how the Body is responding and what the Body might be communicating to us with its own Inner Language.

Embodiment means being present first with yourself, in your body, with your consciousness and acknowledging the unconscious parts as well. It means living in the reality of this moment as authentically as you can.

Only when we work toward Embodiment can we engage fully in our lives as human beings.
