About Lauren
Curious about me and Radical Knowing?
I believe we need to slow down and become more aware of the partnership between the soma (body), the psyche (mind+) and our natural intuition or sixth sense, which I like to call your root.
I discovered some of this as an actor, even before drama school and certainly afterward. You can take in all kinds of data through the mind, but integration into the flesh and bones is when a story comes alive and resonates with us — it’s how we’re built.
Our culture has been mind-centric for a long time, it’s only recently that books like The Body Keeps the Score and Waking The Tiger, The Body Is Not An Apology and Becoming Wise have brought us back to where we started thousands of years ago before all of the modern technologies took us over and moved us away from our natural Self.
When we work together, we let the body lead for a while returning again and again to what’s happening now in this moment and the real-time data the fullness of Self can provide.
